چکیده

Abstract. Photon coincidence spectroscopy is a promising technique for probing the nonlinear regime of cavity quantum electrodynamics in the optical domain, however its accuracy is mitigated by two factors: higher–order photon correlations, which contribute to an enhanced pair count rate, and non–simultaneity of emitted photon pairs from the optical cavity. We show that the technique of photon coincidence spectroscopy is effective in the presence of these effects if the quantitative predictions are adjusted to include non–simultaneity and higher–order correlations.

Perturbative and Non-Perturbative QCD Corrections to Wide-Angle Compton Scattering

We investigate corrections to the handbag approach for wide-angle Compton scattering off protons at moderately large momentum transfer: the photon-parton subprocess is calculated to next-to-leading order in αs and contributions from the generalized parton distribution E are taken into account. Photon and proton helicity flip amplitudes are non-zero due to these corrections which leads to a weal...

1 Photon coincidence spectroscopy for multi – atom cavity quantum electrodynamics

We show that photon coincidence spectroscopy can provide an un-ambiguous signature of two atoms simultaneously interacting with a quantised cavity field mode. We also show that the single–atom Jaynes–Cummings model can be probed effectively via photon coincidence spectroscopy, even with deleterious contributions to the signal from two–atom events. In addition, we have explicitly solved the eige...

Higher-order QCD corrections in prompt photon production

We exhibit a method for simultaneously treating recoil and threshold corrections in single-photon inclusive cross sections, working within the formalism of collinear factorization. This approach conserves both the energy and transverse momentum of resummed radiation. At moderate p(T), we find the potential for substantial enhancements from higher-order perturbative and power-law nonperturbative...

Finite One-Loop Corrections and Perturbative Gauge Invariance in Quantum Gravity Coupled to Photon Fields

One-loop calculations in quantum gravity coupled to U(1)-Abelian fields (photon fields) are ultraviolet finite and cutoff-free in the framework of causal perturbation theory. We compute the photon loop correction to the graviton propagator and the photon self-energy in second order perturbation theory. Perturbative gauge invariance to second order is shown and generates the gravitational Slavno...
